Mold and Indoor Air Quality Testing

Mold and air particles aren’t always bad. Every home has them. They only become a problem when there are too many of them, when they cause problems for your health, or when they are causing damage to property. This is where surface and air quality testing comes in.

Testing is most often performed for one of the following reasons

  • There is indication of a prior water intrusion issue
  • There was a previous mold remediation performed
  • There is a history of insurance claims at the property
  • There is a “musty” or damp smell
  • The client has health concerns such as asthma or other respiratory issues
  • Client wants to be assured mold levels in the home are normal

Advanced Indoor Air Quality Testing

Advanced indoor air quality testing involves collecting indoor air samples plus an outdoor control sample. Priority Labs, our professional laboratory partner, processes samples and identifies molds, pollens, pet dander, fiberglass, soot, and ash, plus over 25 other types of particulates that can adversely affect the indoor environment and the respiratory health of occupants.

Mold-Only Testing

Mold testing involves collection of surface swabs and air sampling to identify mold types and concentrations present in a home or other building. The number of samples and collection sites can be customized to meet the needs of the client.
